Travel one way from Launceston to Hobart via Freycinet National Park and the Great Eastern Drive. This flexible full-day tour combines intercity transport with Wineglass Bay, coastal walks, optional swimming and East Coast produce.
Choose a longer independent hike, including Wineglass Bay or the challenging Mt Amos ascent, or join your guide for a more relaxed visit to the Wineglass Bay lookout and Cape Tourville. The day also includes time at Honeymoon Bay and a stop at Freycinet Marine Farm for seafood and regional wine at your own cost. There will be an opportunity to purchase breakfast, snacks and a packed lunch before the main walks.
Allow approximately 10 hours for the tour. Fifteen Launceston pickup points are available between approximately 6:45 am and 7:15 am. Use the exact location and time on your booking confirmation.
Longer hiking options are self-guided and require appropriate fitness and experience. Mt Amos is steep, exposed and unsuitable in wet conditions.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring water, sun protection and swimwear and a towel if you intend to swim.
Hikes, swimming, meal stops and arrival time are subject to weather, track access, traffic and local operating conditions.

Experienced hikers can spend up to four hours exploring Freycinet National Park independently, choosing from the Wineglass Bay track or the steep and strenuous Mt Amos ascent. Track access depends on weather and park conditions.

Join your guide on the moderate uphill walk to the lookout for the classic view across Wineglass Bay, then return via the same track.

Take a shorter coastal walk around Cape Tourville Lighthouse, with broad views across Freycinet's granite coastline and the Tasman Sea.

Relax beside clear water and orange granite boulders, with the option to swim when weather and conditions are suitable.

Purchase fresh oysters, prawns, crayfish and other local seafood, with regional wine also available.

Continue south through the East Coast landscape and finish the tour in Hobart, avoiding the need to backtrack to Launceston.
